About
Your Innkeepers:
Camille
was raised in Brooklyn, New York and
taught
from an early age the passion of preparing and eating good
food. Moving from New York to Michigan, working as a
Dental Hygienist and raising two sons, she returned to
school to pursue her passion and prepare for a second
career. She completed programs in both Culinary Arts and
Hotel and Restaurant Management, graduating with high
honors and the praise of many of her instructors. Entrees
and Pastries are her specialty, as many of the Bed &
Breakfasts guests will attest.
Joe was originally trained as a cook, working in
New York with a caterer who specialized in event planning
and large parties.
He
veered from this course and entered college, earning a
doctorate in Psychology. After raising his sons and
closing his practice in Michigan, he came to North
Carolina with the intent of opening a Bed & Breakfast;
as he says: “Cooking is only fun when you have someone
to cook for.” Today he runs the local branch of Mount
Olive College and works with Camille in restoring the
house to its Victorian heritage. His specialties in the
kitchen include breads and food presentation.
